| Air Fraser Island, the tourist-based air charter service, which operates scenic tours of Fraser Island and its surrounds, has found the GA8 Airvan is an excellent aircraft for its operations. The GA8 Airvan is transporting about 70 people a day off the beach and doing about 100 hours of flying a month and has required very little maintenance. Air Fraser Island Owner/operator, Gerry Geltch said he had been watching the Airvan in development for eight years. "Air Fraser Island carry approximately 40,000 people a year and while the Cessna 206’s have done the job for us, they lack the seat capacity. We knew the Airvan would be a good machine and with the extra seating it would be a commercially profitable aircraft," he said. "It’s a solid practical workhorse with no clutter or useless paraphernalia. This is the only machine that fills the void between a Cessna 206 and the Cessna Caravan. The GA8 has exceeded our expectations from the moment we put it to work on the beach at Fraser Island. A great feat for Australian Aviation, and we’re proud to be flying Australian Made," Gerry continued. For more information visit: www.airfraserisland.com.au |
