Air Ngukurr Testimonial and Case Study

Air Ngukurr provides charters for passengers and freight in the vast area of Australia’s northern territory encompassing the remote communities of Arnhem land, Arnhem Land, Kakadu National Park, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Ayers Rock.

The company has recently been using a GA8 Airvan for its operation and Chief Pilot, Honie Edwards Chief Pilot is another satisfied GA8 Airvan flier.

"Air Ngukurr operates an airline passenger service in the Northern Territory and carries freight to remote Aboriginal communities. We have a number of Cessna 210 aircraft operating, but find the GA8 much more practical for us. Both aircraft have the same size engine, but we are able carry two more passengers in the GA8 and an extra 270 kilos of freight."

"Passenger comfort is another area where the GA8 surpasses the Cessna 210 because of its wider body. The passengers have individual seats and there is aisle whereas in the Cessna 210 passengers have to make their way between seats."

"The large sliding door is excellent for loading and unloading freight, a real problem with Cessna 210."
